Dear Thecodontosaurus

Dear Thecodontosaurus, what to say to you?

You have my eyes, you have your mother’s tail,

When you came into the world you roared, and it broke my heart.

I’m dedicating every leaf to you,

Omnivorous life, was never quite my style.

When you growl, you knock me out I fall apart,

But they’re gonna build a park…

You will hatch your egg in our young nation.

We’ll bleed and fight for you.

We’ll make it right for you.

If we lay enough eggs for procreation,

We’ll pass it on to you, we’ll give the world to you,

But they’ll take your DNA.

Someday, someday, they will take your DNA.

Oh, Phillip when you smile I am undone, my son.

What have they done?

Someday they will steal your DNA,

And they're going to use it to clone you.

Oh, Phillip you outshine the morning sun, my son.

They’ll build a park, with dinosaurs,

And get paid for your roars.

My father fell in a pit.

(My father fell in a pit)

I swear I won’t let you fall in a pit.

I’ll do whatever it takes.

(I’ll step on all scary snakes)

I’ll make the world safe and sound for you.

Someday, someday...

(I'm not sure how these talking dinosaurs are aware of Jurassic Park's eventual existence, but they're not happy about it)
